There is no splitscreen local co-op multiplayer in Dragon Quest XI. Sadly we have some bad news on that front. Considering we’re dealing with Square Enix again here, some might be wondering if there is some kind of splitscreen local co-op multiplayer option in Dragon Quest XI. And, of course, there is Final Fantasy XV whch added the Comrades game mode which functioned as a co-op mode for the popular AAA JRPG from Square Enix. Child of Light, although not from Japan, featured similar gameplay and had some light co-op thrown in. Most JRPGs in video games tend to be single-player titles only. It sounds like heavy stuff, but the game is quite colorful, lighthearted, and easy to process from what we’ve previewed at E3.
